Exterior Spruce Up
Thanks to NYC Economic Development Corporation for the great new banners that decorate the exterior of the Market! Plus, they repainted the letters, which were much in need of a touch-up. No one can say they can 't identify the Moore Street Market anymore!
So someone complained to NYC DOT that we were not maintaining the planters. Behold the cveidence that this is nor so! The Crepe Myrtles are bursting inot bloom. The mums are full of buds, and cedars have grown at least a foot since they were planted. Not bad for planters that get sat upon, used as trash cans, and suffer the usual abuses of NYC street life!
Two Girls & Two Pups Bake Shop!
Our newest tenant, Two Girls & Two Pups Bake Shop has their soft opening this weekend, starting September 1st. Please come by and welcome them, as you enjoy their muffins, cupcakes and other sweet treats, plus cappuccino, espresso and other beverages. Vegan sweets will also be served for the health conscious among you! They start serving at 8 am.

Wind Power?!
You may have noticed a lot of banner poles being installed on the Moore Street Market's exterior facade over the last few weeks.
Thanks to NYC Economic Development Corporation, we are pleased to be getting about 20 Moore Street banners, which will be installed over the next few weeks. Once the banners go up, there is no way to pass the building on any side and NOT know what's inside! As an upside, all those banners flapping in the breeze should create a nice cool current around the market!
We are also the recipient of a couple of thousand canvas, re-usable Moore Street shopping bags that we will begin distributing on Labor Day weekend, in a promotional give-away.
More information and photos to follow.

We have a Baker!!!
I am so pleased to announce that we have signed a lease for a new bake shop at Moore Street Market!
We welcome Jamie Rivera and Jubitza Mojica, the joint owners of TWO GIRLS and TWO PUPS Bake Shop. They will occupy Stall 25, one of the recently renovated center stalls.
Jamie and Jubitza signed their lease last week and will begin adding their special design touches starting this week. They hope to be open for business by Labor Day weekend. They are planing on getting a Wi-Fi hotspot, so bring your laptops and stick around for second helpings of their delicious fare.
We are looking forward to cakes and cupcakes and cookies, along with freshly brewed coffee and cappuccino! The coffee beans, we are told, will be imported from an organic, family-owned coffee farm in the Dominican Republic.
As soon as we can, we will post their menu and hours, but they intend to be open for breakfast for commuters and local workers and residents. We'll be sure to get the word out!
I'm out for two weeks for a conference and vacation, so there will be lots to post once I return.
Until then, enjoy the rest of the summer!
